If you are a Software Engineer with hands-on experience with industrial automation platforms, please read on! Our clientele encompasses both small and major shipbuilding firms that manage a variety of military vessels, yachts, and workboats for both inland and offshore applications. Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for industrial and marine automation systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to innovative projects. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement software applications for industrial automation and marine systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in multiple languages such as Java, C, and Python. Develop and implement control algorithms using Ladder Logic and Structured Text. Work with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and microcontrollers to deliver robust solutions. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance software development practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Software Engineer in industrial or marine automation sectors. Strong knowledge of automation platforms (e.g. Siemens, Wago, and Rockwell automation). Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Java, C, and/or Python. Experience with Ladder Logic and structured text programming. Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and microcontroller development (e.g. ARM, PIC) a plus! Experience programming in Embedded C/C++ a plus! Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
