Supervisory Program Coordinator

This position is located in Immigration Records & Identity Services Directorate, Identity and Information Management Division, Communication and Training Branch. As an Supervisory Program Coordinator, you will serve as the Branch Chief and subject matter expert over the Communication and Training Branch for which both the scope and effect of the work impact multiple components of DHS and other governmental agencies.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise analysts responsible for providing liaison and analytical support related to executive level oversight of functions, priorities, goals, projects, training, and management activities in support of the enterprise.
• Responsible for communication and training strategy initiatives and capabilities and serve as the premier source of training, guidance, and communication for USCIS, the tri-bureau and all identity and immigration-related governmental agencies.
• Serve as a senior advisor to the Division Chief regarding enterprise-wide training initiatives, resource requirements, including onboarding, systems trainings and person centric identity management services directly affecting strategic goals.
• Provide strategic guidance, technical and administrative supervision to analysts responsible for conducting work in support of enterprise-wide programs, initiatives, and projects targeted at integrity, efficiency of delivery, and workflow.
• Develop and present oral and written reports, presentations, and briefings to senior managers/executives to describe current programs and initiatives.
• Lead and facilitate meetings to address issues, concerns, or resolve problems that impact service.

This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
• Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/24/2025. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/24/2025.

GS-15: You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-14 next grade level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:

• Leading teams or subordinate employees in enterprise-level projects that are national in scope and designed to evaluate and/or improve training and communications business processes in immigration policies.
• Providing authoritative advice and informed recommendations to leadership on training and communications content related to immigration policies, regulations, policy directives, and business operations.
• Serving as a senior representative on behalf of an organization at high level meetings, working groups, and conferences focused on operations, policies, or initiatives.
