Job Description

Supervisory Mission Support Specialist

This position is located in the Immigration Records and Identity Services Directorate, Identity and Information Management Division, Resource Management Branch. As a Supervisory Mission Support Specialist, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the financial and acquisition management program of the Identity and Information Management Division (IIMD). Responsibilities include leading a team of management and program analysts responsible for financial and acquisition management for the IIMD by assigning and overseeing workload, adjusting and prioritizing as needed. Apply expert technical knowledge as a senior budget analyst for IIMD and oversee the Division's financial and acquisition management program. Identify ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of financial management and controls and establish and carry out action plans for accomplishing short-term and long-term planning. Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of financial operations by creating a culture of continuous improvement that drives changes to improve organizational effectiveness. Develop and/or conducts briefings, presentations, and other communications for supervisors and leadership.

Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.

You must have experience performing the following duties: Leading a group of employees, including planning work to be accomplished, setting and adjusting priorities, and evaluating performance. Serving as expert consultant to senior leadership in the area of financial management. Conducting independent evaluations of financial functions, prepare recommendations and reports and track the completion of short and long-term goals. Developing budget briefings and communications materials for leadership.
