Duties If selected, you will serve as a Records and Information Management Specialist for the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the Western District of Washington. You will handle data entry, analysis, and program management to ensure records are created, maintained, and disposed of according to Federal, EOUSA, and DOJ guidelines. Duties include: Identifying Federal records under the Federal Records Act and maintaining records per DOJ, EOUSA, and USAO policies. Studying record types, usage, location, and classification to develop efficient records management controls. Developing or requesting reports and procedures to meet USAO needs or improve docketing efficiency. Responding to inquiries on case status and retrieving information via query routines or reports. Serving as a procedural and technical resource on docketing functions for criminal cases. Ensuring proper codes are used in docketing systems and updating databases accordingly. Determining cases requiring special handling and making appropriate referrals. Responsibilities will increase with experience. Salary $56,153 - $89,290/year Qualifications GS-7: One year of specialized experience at GS-5 level or equivalent, or education (graduate or bachelor's with Superior Academic Achievement), or a combination of both. GS-9: One year of specialized experience at GS-7 level or higher, or education (Master's or equivalent, or 2 years of graduate coursework), or a combination of both.
