Job Description

Director of Accounting or Controller The position provides faithful and professional oversight of financial operations of the church, school, and various church plants. The responsibilities will be to ensure that all accounting, reporting, and compliance functions are carried out with accuracy, transparency, and integrity, supporting the mission and ministry of the congregation. The Director or Controller will work closely with the Church Administrator, Treasurer, Senior Pastor and school Principal. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 5-7+ years of related experience (ideally with a church or not-for-profit organization) Knowledge & Skills Previous experience honing your organizational and project management skills. Comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and resolving conflict. Crafting clear communications in reports and presentations to a non-accounting audience. Familiarity with accounting software, using spreadsheets and database systems. Personal Qualities History of integrity, discretion and sound judgement. Comfortable and committed with the mission and values of Crown of Life.
