Cabinet Maker

Currently hiring a 1st shift Cabinet Maker in the Rockdale, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Description

• Operate hand tools to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets and components.
• Apply laminate to cabinets and other wood surfaces.
• Use woodworking machines such as routers, edge banders, jointers, table saws, and wall saws to cut, shape, and finish wood parts.
• Participate in job setup and sequencing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Mark outlines or dimensions on paper or lumber stock.
• Match materials for color, grain, or texture.
• Bore holes for screws or dowels using hand tools or boring machines.
• Glue, fit, and clamp parts and subassemblies.
• Sand and scrape surfaces for finishing.
• Apply protective or decorative finishes such as stain, varnish, or paint.
• Install hardware like hinges, catches, and drawer pulls.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in cabinet making and building wood cabinetry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
• Understanding of the cabinet making process from start to finish.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs continuously and stand all day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with cabinet design using CAD or Solidworks.
• Programming experience with CNC equipment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Work Environment

The work environment is a job shop setting, requiring comfort around machinery. The shift is from 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
